Rescue services assess the blaze at the highest danger level

A large blaze erupted inside the Grand Setun Plaza office building in Moscow on Friday morning. Emergency services have been deployed to the site.

According to media reports, an evacuation is underway. Up to 15 office staffers are unaccounted for, Interfax news service reported, citing a source from the emergency services. “It’s possible that they’re still inside,” the source said.

A video from the scene shows a thick cloud of smoke coming from the facade of the building. The authorities have blocked traffic on the adjacent road.

Over 120 people have been evacuated; no casualties have been reported so far. That’s according to TASS, which says the blaze has engulfed five floors of the building.
